Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure is an eagerly awaited Indian Malayalam-language fantasy film directed by Mohanlal, marking his debut as a director. The film is based on Jijo Punnoose's novel of the same name and is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

The plot centers around Barroz, a 400-year-old spirit tasked with guarding D'Gama's treasure. Barroz's mission is to protect this treasure and hand it over only to a true descendant of D'Gama. The film is shot entirely in 3D, enhancing the visual experience for the audience.

The music for Barroz is composed by Lydian Nadhaswaram, with the background score by Mark Kilian. The film is set to release on December 25, 2024, coinciding with Christmas, in both 3D and IMAX 3D formats.
